SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ABOUT NOISE AT THE ROOF AREA WHEN TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THIS CONDITION MAY BE WORSE IN COLDER WEATHER DUE TO CHANGES IN AIR DENSITY.
CONDITION MAY BE DUE TO OPEN AREAS ON THE TOP SIDE OF THE ROOF LUGGAGE RACK CROSS RAILS. THESE AREAS, (APPROXIMATELY 210MM OR 8 1/4") ON EITHER END OF THE CROSS RAILS, WERE LEFT OPEN TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO ATTACHING NUTS INSIDE EACH END OF THE RAIL.
INSTALL NEW SERVICE KIT, P/N 10278285, WHICH CONTAINS 4 RUBBER STRIPS AND AN INSTRUCTION SHEET. INSTALL THE RUBBER STRIPS IN THE GAPS ON THE UPPER SURFACE OF THE RAIL AS INDICATED BY THE INSTRUCTION SHEET.
PARTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AVAILABLE ON JANUARY 15, 1996.
