Stabilizer Shaft Replacement FWD

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the following components as an assembly. Refer to Front Suspension Crossmember Replacement .
    2. • The front suspension crossmember
    • The trans support
    • The front control arms
    • The stabilizer shaft
    • The stabilizer shaft links
    • The stabilizer shaft clamps
    • The stabilizer shaft insulators

  2. Remove the 2 nuts (2) and the 2 stabilizer shaft links from the stabilizer shaft.
  3. Remove the 4 bolts from the stabilizer shaft clamps.
  4. Remove the 2 stabilizer shaft clamps.
  5. Remove the 2 stabilizer shaft insulators.
  6. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the crossmember.

Installation Procedure
  1. Place the stabilizer shaft on the crossmember.
  2. Install the 2 stabilizer shaft insulators to the stabilizer shaft.
  3. Install the 2 clamps to the insulators.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the 4 bolts to the clamps.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 19 N·m (14.0 lb ft).

  5. Install the 2 stabilizer shaft links and the 2 nuts (2) to the stabilizer shaft.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 74 N·m (54.6 lb ft).

  6. Install the stabilizer shaft and the crossmember to the vehicle. Refer to Front Suspension Crossmember Replacement .

Stabilizer Shaft Replacement AWD

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front suspension crossmember. Refer to Front Suspension Crossmember Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 821347 Size: SH
  2. Remove the 2 nuts and the 2 stabilizer shaft links (3) from the stabilizer shaft.
  3. Remove the 4 bolts and the 2 stabilizer shaft clamps.
  4. Remove the 2 stabilizer shaft insulators.
  5. Remove the stabilizer shaft.

Installation Procedure
  1. Position the stabilizer shaft on the crossmember.
  2. Install the 2 stabilizer shaft insulators to the stabilizer shaft.
  3. Install the 2 clamps and the 4 bolts to the insulators.
  4. Install the crossmember to the vehicle. Refer to Front Suspension Crossmember Replacement .

    5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Tighten the 4 bolts to the clamps.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 19 N·m (14.0 lb ft).

  6. Install the stabilizer shaft links (3) and the nuts to the stabilizer shaft and to the strut brackets.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 74 N·m (54.6 lb ft).
