Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement Upper

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 831275  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear access panel (2).
  2. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  3. • The bolt (3)
    • The child seat anchor bracket (4)

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the child seat anchor bracket (4) to the vehicle. Secure the bracket with the bolt (3).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the child seat anchor bracket bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. Install the rear access panel (2).

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 893888  Size: SH
  1. Fold down rear seat back half way to access lower tether anchor bolts (1).
  2. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
  3. • The bolts (1)
    • The child seat lower tether anchor brackets (2)

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 893888  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the child seat lower tether anchor brackets (2) to the vehicle. Secure the brackets with the bolts (1).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the child seat lower tether anchor bracket bolts to 18.1 N·m (13.3 lb ft).

  3. Lift up rear seat back to its upright position.
