Removal Procedure
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

- Remove fender flare. Refer to
Front Fender Flare Replacement
.
- Remove the bolts and plastic retainers from wheel house panel.
- Remove the rocker panel molding. Refer to
Rocker Panel Molding Replacement
.
- Disengage the plastic retainers from the wheel house panel.
- Remove the wheel house panel (1) from the fender.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the wheel house panel (1) to the fender.
- Secure the wheel house panel (1) with the bolts and the plastic retainers.
Tighten
Tighten the wheelhouse panel bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the rocker panel molding. Refer to

- Install the fender flare. Refer to
Front Fender Flare Replacement
.
- Lower the vehicle.
