Removal Procedure
- Remove the right rear seat cushion lower bolts. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
- Remove the rear seat belt retractor lower anchor bolt (5).
- Remove the right rear seat back panel. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove the seat belt guide (1).
- Pull seat belt lower anchor through rear seat back.
- Remove the following components from the vehicle:
| • | The mounting bolt (3) |
| • | The rear seat center belt retractor (2) |
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear seat center belt retractor (2) to the seat back. Secure the retractor with the mounting bolt (3).
- Install seat belt lower anchor through seat back.
- Install the rear seat belt retractor lower anchor bolt (5).
- Install seat belt guide (1).
- Install right rear seat back cover. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Trim Panel Replacement .
- Install the right rear seat cushion lower bolts. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the rear seat belt retractor mounting bolt to 42 N·m
(31 lb ft).
