Removal Procedure
- Remove the screws (3) and spacers (1) from the left and right sides of the rear bumper fascia extension (2).
- Remove the lower screws and washers from the rear bumper fascia extension.
- Remove the rear bumper fascia extension and 2-way tape. Refer to
Exterior Trim Molding/Nameplate Replacement
.
- Remove the rear bumper fascia extension screws (5), washers (4), and brackets (3) from
rear fascia, if necessary.
- Remove the U-clips (2) from the rear fascia (1), if necessary.
- Remove the nuts (2), bolts (5), washers (3), and brackets (4) from the rear fascia (1), if necessary.
- Remove the U-clips from the left and right sides of the rear fascia, if necessary.
Installation Procedure
- Install the U-clips to the left and right sides of the rear fascia, if removed.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the brackets (4), bolts (5), washers (3), and nuts (2) to the rear fascia (1), if removed.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
- Install the U-clips (2) to the rear fascia (1), if removed.
- Install the rear bumper fascia extension brackets (3) to the rear fascia (1), if removed.
- Install the screws (5) and washers (4) to the brackets (3), if removed.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
- Install 2-way tape to the rear fascia extension. Refer to
Exterior Trim Molding/Nameplate Replacement
.
- Peel back 25.0 mm of the 2-way tape liner from each end.
- Position the rear fascia extension to the rear fascia and align to mounting holes.
- Install the lower screws and washers to the rear bumper fascia extension.
Tighten
Tighten the lower screws to 5N·m (44 lb in).
- Install the spacers (1) and screws (3) to the left and right sides of the rear bumper fascia extension (2).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2.5N·m (22 lb in).
- Remove the 2-way tape liner from the rear bumper fascia extension, while pressing down for good adhesion.
