Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 825438 Size: SH
  1. Open the lift gate window (3).
  2. Support the lift gate window (3).
  3. Remove the high mount stoplamp cover. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  4. Remove rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
  5. Remove wiper motor assembly. Refer to Liftgate Wiper Motor Replacement .
  6. Remove the 4 bolts (2) from the rear window (3).
  7. Remove the 4 nuts (1) from the rear window hinge (5).
  8. Disconnect the rear washer hose. Refer to Rear Window Washer Hose Replacement - Pump to Endgate .
  9. Remove the rear window upper outer panel (4).
  10. Remove the lift gate window struts. Refer to Liftgate Window Strut Replacement .

  11. Remove the rear window strut bolt (1) and packing (6) from the rear window retainer (5).
  12. Remove the rear window retainer (5) and the packing (4) from the rear window (2).
  13. Remove the  4 nuts (3) and spacers (1) from the rear window (2).
  14. With an assistant, remove the lift gate window (2) from the lift gate window hinges (8).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 825437 Size: SH
  1. With an assistant, install the lift gate window (2) to the lift gate hinges (8).
  2. Install the spacers (1) and the 4 nuts (3) to the rear window (2).
  3. Install the rear window packings (4) and the retainers (5) to the rear window (2).

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the rear window packings (6) and the rear window strut bolts (1) to the rear window retainers (5).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the rear window strut bolts to 6.0 N·m (53 lb in).

  5. Install the rear lift gate window struts. Refer to Liftgate Window Strut Replacement .

  6. Install the rear window upper outer panel (4) to the rear window (3).
  7. Connect the rear washer hose. Refer to Rear Window Washer Hose Replacement - Pump to Endgate .
  8. Install the 4 nuts (1) to the rear window hinges (5).
  9. Install the 4 bolts (2) to the rear window (3).
  10. Install the rear wiper motor assembly. Refer to Liftgate Wiper Motor Replacement .
  11. Install the rear wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
  12. Install the high mount stoplamp cover. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement .
  13. Close the lift gate window (3).
