Did you review the Theft Deterrent System Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections?

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect the glass breakage sensor harness connector.
  3. Test cavity 8 of the glass breakage sensor for battery positive voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is battery voltage present?

Go to Step 3

Test cavity 1 of the glass breakage sensor for battery positive voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is battery voltage present?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 7

Test cavity 6 for continuity to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity to ground present?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 8

Test cavity 5 for continuity to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity to ground present?

Go to Step 10

Repair open or high resistance in the glass breakage sensor supply voltage circuit between cavity 8 of the glass breakage sensor and C6 cavity 9 of the instrument panel fuse block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair open or high resistance in the glass breakage sensor supply voltage circuit between cavity 1 of the glass breakage sensor and C8 cavity 1 of the Instrument panel fuse block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair open in the glass breakage sensor ground circuit between cavity 6 of the glass breakage sensor and G201. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the glass breakage sensor.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
