Removal Procedure

  1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch any power steering fluid.

  2. Object Number: 850338  Size: SH
  3. Loosen the hose clamp (4) that retains the reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump.
  4. Notice: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Remove the reservoir outlet hose from the pump.
  6. Loosen the hose clamp (2) that retains the reservoir outlet hose to the power steering fluid reservoir.
  7. Remove the reservoir outlet hose from the reservoir.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Installing Hoses without Twists or Bends Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 850338  Size: SH
  1. Install the reservoir outlet hose (3) to the power steering fluid reservoir.
  2. Install the hose clamp (2) in order to retain the hose to the reservoir.
  3. Install the reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump.
  4. Install the hose clamp (4) in order to retain the hose to the pump.
  5. Notice: Refer to Using Proper Power Steering Fluid Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Fill the power steering fluid reservoir. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid .
  7. Notice: Refer to Air in the Power Steering System Notice in the Preface section.

  8. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
