Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 2016602 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly connector (1).
  3. Remove the bolt (2) and remove the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

    4. Object Number: 2016605 Size: SH
  4. Remove the O-ring (1) from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2016605 Size: SH

    Note: Do not twist the O-ring.

  1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring (1) and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2016602 Size: SH
  2. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly and wire harness bracket with the bolt (2) and tighten to 10 N·m (7 lb ft).
  3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly connector (1).

    4. Object Number: 2016597 Size: SH
  4. Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt (1) and tighten to 8.4 N·m (74 lb in).
  5. Inspect for oil leaks.
  6. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
