Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the engine cover assembly. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    3. Object Number: 2010452 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the terminal 50 connector (1) from the starter assembly.
  4. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal 30.

    5. Object Number: 2010455 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the wire harness clamp.

    6. Object Number: 2010460 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the back-up light switch connector (1).

    7. Object Number: 2010464 Size: SH
  7. Using a suitable socket (1), remove the back-up light switch and gasket from the transaxle case.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2010471 Size: SH
  1. Using a suitable socket (1), install the back-up light switch and a new gasket to the transaxle case and tighten to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

    2. Object Number: 2010460 Size: SH
  2. Connect the back-up light switch connector (1).

    3. Object Number: 2010455 Size: SH
  3. Connect the wire harness to the wire harness clamp.

    4. Object Number: 2010452 Size: SH
  4. Connect the terminal 50 connector (1) to the starter assembly.
  5. Connect the wire harness to terminal 30 and install the nut. Then, attach the terminal cap.
  6. Install the air cleaner assembly
  7. Install the engine cover assembly. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
