Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2009 🢒 Vibe - AWD 🢒 Body Hardware and Trim 🢒 Instrument Panel and Console Trim 🢒 Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Turn the front wheels to face straight ahead.
  2. Disable the driver and passenger side SIR systems. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
  3. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement.
  4. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.
  5. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement.
  6. Remove the left I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Left Side.
  7. Remove the I/P cluster assembly. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement.
  8. Remove the windshield garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement.

  9. Disengage the seven retaining tabs from the lower left instrument panel finish panel.
  10. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the lower left instrument panel finish panel.
  11. Remove the front floor console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement.
  12. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.

  13. Disengage the six retaining tabs and remove the instrument panel box door sub assembly.

    14. Object Number: 2015105 Size: MH
  14. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
  15. Remove the upper bolt (2).
  16. Remove the passenger side SIR bolt (3).

    17. Object Number: 2022874 Size: SH
  17. Disconnect the passenger side SIR electrical connector (1).

    18. Object Number: 2015107 Size: MH
  18. Disengage the five retainers and the two guides.

    19. Object Number: 2015110 Size: MH
  19. Disengage the five upper retainers and remove the upper instrument panel trim pad.
  20. Remove the windshield defrost duct. Refer to Windshield Defroster Duct Replacement.
  21. Remove the air distribution duct. Refer to Air Distributor Duct Replacement.

  22. Disconnect the daytime running lamp ambient sensor connector (2).
  23. Disengage the retainer (1) and remove the daytime running lamp ambient sensor harness.

    24. Object Number: 2015120 Size: SH
  24. Remove the eight screws.
  25. Disengage the six guides and remove the instrument panel safety plate.
  26. Remove the passenger side inflatable restraint. Refer to Instrument Panel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement.
  27. Remove the right side instrument panel air outlets. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Deflector Replacement - Right Side.

  28. Remove the three screws and the instrument panel finish plate.
  29. Remove the daytime running lamp ambient light sensor. Refer to Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) Ambient Light Sensor Replacement.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2015127 Size: SH
  1. Install the daytime running lamp ambient light sensor. Refer to Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) Ambient Light Sensor Replacement
  2. Install the three screws and the instrument panel finish plate.

    3. Object Number: 2015120 Size: SH
  3. Install the right side instrument panel air outlets. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Deflector Replacement - Right Side.
  4. Install the passenger side inflatable restraint. Refer to Instrument Panel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement.
  5. Engage the six guides and install the instrument panel safety plate.
  6. Install the eight screws.

  7. Engage the retainer (1) and install the daytime running lamp ambient sensor harness.
  8. Connect the daytime running lamp ambient sensor connector (2).

    9. Object Number: 2015110 Size: MH
  9. Install the air distribution duct. Refer to Air Distributor Duct Replacement.
  10. Install the windshield defrost duct. Refer to Windshield Defroster Duct Replacement.
  11. Engage the five upper retainers and install the upper instrument panel trim pad.

    12. Object Number: 2015107 Size: MH
  12. Engage the five retainers and the two guides.

    13. Object Number: 2015105 Size: MH
  13. Install the passenger side SIR bolt (3).
  14. Install the upper bolt (2).
  15. Connect the electrical connector (1).

    16. Object Number: 2022874 Size: SH
  16. Connect the passenger side SIR electrical connector (1).

    17. Object Number: 2015102 Size: SH
  17. Engage the six retaining tabs and install the instrument panel box door sub assembly.

    18. Object Number: 2015090 Size: SH
  18. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
  19. Install the front floor console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement.
  20. Connect the electrical connectors and install the lower left instrument panel finish panel.
  21. Engage the seven retaining tabs from the lower left instrument panel finish panel.
  22. Install the windshield garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement.
  23. Install the I/P cluster assembly. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement.
  24. Install the upper and lower steering column covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement.
  25. Install the left I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Left Side.
  26. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement.
  27. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.
  28. Enable the driver and passenger side SIR systems. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
