This DTC identifies a malfunction within the passenger presence system (PPS). If the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) detects a malfunction within the PPS module, a DTC will be set.
Ignition voltage is between 9-16 volts.
• | Calibration has failed. |
• | Calibration performed with conditions for calibration not satisfied. |
• | The SDM commands the AIR BAG indicator ON. |
• | The SIR System is disabled and no deployments are allowed. |
• | The condition for setting the DTC no longer exists. |
• | A history DTC will clear once 100 malfunction-free ignition cycles have occurred. |

When removing connectors, inspect for damage or corrosion. Damage or corrosion in the following requires repair or replacement of the affected component/connector:• | The front end sensor |

• | History DTCs, 0 |
⇒ | If the parameters are not as specified, replace the PPS seat sensor. |
⇒ | If the parameters are as specified, perform PPS rezeroing procedure. |
