Removal Procedure
- Disable the air bag system. Refer to
SIR Disabling and Enabling.
- Remove the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to
Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
- Lower the door opening frame weather strips (1, 2) on the front and rear door pinch weld flanges.
- Remove the assist handles. Refer to
Assist Handle Replacement.
- Remove the windshield side garnish moldings. Refer to
Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement.
- Remove the sunshades and retainers. Refer to
Sunshade Replacement and
Sunshade Anchor Replacement.
- Remove the dome lamp. Refer to
Dome Lamp Replacement.
- Remove the quarter upper trim panel. Refer to
Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
- Disconnect the rear view mirror connector (9), if equipped.
- Disengage the retainers (7) from the left windshield pillar
- Disconnect the roof wire electrical connectors (8) from the instrument panel junction block.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors (4) from the antenna cord sub assembly and remove the bolt (5) from the right rear pillar.
- Remove the sunroof glass weather-strip. Refer to
Sunroof Glass Panel Weatherstrip Replacement.
- Disconnect the sunroof gear drive electrical connector (3), if equipped.
- Remove the two retainers (6) which secure the rear of the headlining trim finish panel.
- Lower the front seat back cushions in order to gain clearance to remove the headlining trim finish panel.
- Lower the headlining trim finish panel (1). Remove the headlining through a rear door.
- Remove the roof silencer pads (1), if equipped without sunroof.
- Remove the roof silencer pads (1), if equipped with sunroof.
- Remove the center roof silencer pads (1), if equipped without sunroof.
- Remove the radio antenna extension cable. Refer to
Radio Antenna Cable Extension Cable Replacement.
- Remove the adhesive tape that secures the wire harness to the headliner, if equipped without sunroof.
- Remove the wire harness from the headliner.
- Remove the adhesive tape that secures the wire harness to the headliner, if equipped with sunroof.
- Disengage the three retainers (1) and remove the wire harness from the headliner.
Installation Procedure
- Install the wire harness to the headliner and engage the three retainers (1), if equipped with sunroof.
- Install the adhesive tape that secures the wire harness to the headliner.
- Install the wire harness to the headliner, if equipped without sunroof.
- Install the adhesive tape that secures the wire harness to the headliner.
- Install the radio antenna extension cable. Refer to
Radio Antenna Cable Extension Cable Replacement.
- Install the center roof silencer pads (1), if equipped without sunroof.
- Install the roof silencer pads (1), if equipped with sunroof.
- Install the roof silencer pads (1), if equipped without sunroof.
- Position the headlining trim finish panel into the vehicle through the rear door.
- Raise the front seat back cushions.
- Install the two retainers (6) which secure the rear of the headlining trim finish panel.
- Connect the sunroof gear drive electrical connector (3), if equipped.
- Connect the electrical connectors (4) to the antenna cord sub assembly and install the bolt (5) to the right rear pillar.
- Install the sunroof glass weather-strip. Refer to
Sunroof Glass Panel Weatherstrip Replacement.
- Connect the roof wire electrical connectors (8) to the instrument panel junction block.
- Engage the retainers (7) to the left windshield pillar
- Connect the rear view mirror connector (9), if equipped.
- Install the quarter upper trim panel. Refer to
Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
- Install the dome lamp. Refer to
Dome Lamp Replacement.
- Install the sunshades and retainers. Refer to
Sunshade Replacement and
Sunshade Anchor Replacement.
- Install the windshield side garnish moldings. Refer to
Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement.
- Install the assist handles. Refer to
Assist Handle Replacement.
- Install the door opening frame weather strips (1, 2) on the front and rear door pinch weld flanges.
- Install the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to
Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
- Enable the air bag system. Refer to
SIR Disabling and Enabling.
