The solenoid valves are part of the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV). The BPMV turns ON and OFF the solenoid valves as deemed necessary to modulate hydraulic pressure to the wheel brakes during an ABS stop.
Ignition voltage is greater than 9.5 volts.
The electronic brake control module (EBCM) detects one of the following conditions in the solenoid circuitry:
• | An open |
• | A short to ground |
• | A short to voltage |
• | The ABS is disabled. |
• | The ABS warning indicator turns ON. |
The condition responsible for setting the DTC no longer exists and the scan tool Clear DTCs function is used.
