Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 415683 Size: SH
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the front seat back cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement in Seats.

    3. Object Number: 415869 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the side impact module.
  4. Remove the side impact module fasteners (1).
  5. Remove the side impact module (2).
  6. Fully deploy the module before disposal. If the module was replaced under warranty, fully deploy and dispose of the module after the required retention period. Refer to Inflator Module Handling and Scrapping .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 415869 Size: SH
  1. Install the side impact module (2).
  2. Install the side impact module fasteners (1).
  3. Connect the electrical connector (3) to the side impact module.

    4. Object Number: 415683 Size: SH
  4. Install the front seat back cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement in Seats.
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
