When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

SERVICE VME

This 2003, 2004 Pontiac Vibe VME pertains to a hard to start, slow engine cranking" conditions owners may encounter. The condition usually occurs when the ambient temperature falls below 20 degrees F. You should first follow normal diagnostic procedures for the starter and emission systems. If no codes are stored and no other concerns are noted. It may be necessary to replace the OME battery with a higher CCA battery. The production battery is rated at 310 CCA. The replacement battery model 35-6YR is rated at 560 CCA. The part number for the higher CCA battery is 19001602. This concern will only affect cold climate regions. Battery replacements in warm climates are not necessary. When submitting your warranty claim PLEASE use REIMB for the failure code. This code should be placed in the failure code field on the claim.
