This bulletin is being revised to add the 2006 model year and update the part number. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 05-06-04-064 (Section 06 -- Engine/Propulsion System).
Condition
Some customers may comment that the vehicle cranks but will not start.
Cause
This may be due to insufficient fuel pressure after the vehicle has been parked for an extended period of time.
Correction
Follow SI diagnostics for the no start condition. If results lead you to fuel pump and filter (module) assembly replacement, or no other concerns are found, then replace the fuel module assembly. Refer to the Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter Assembly Replacement procedure in the Engine Controls sub-section of SI.
