Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 890760  Size: SH
  1. Open the lift gate.
  2. Remove the lift gate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the window latch electrical connector (2) from the lift gate harness (1).
  4. Remove the window latch electrical connector retainer (3) from the lift gate (4).
  5. Close the lift gate.

  7. Open the lift gate window.
  8. Remove the bolts (3) from the rear lift gate window connector (4).
  9. Remove the rear lift gate window connector (4) away from the lift gate (5).
  10. Remove the bolts (2) from the lift gate window latch (1).
  11. Pull lift gate window latch (1) away from lift gate (5) and disconnect the rod from the latch.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the rod to the lift gate window latch.
  2. Install the lift gate window latch (1) to the lift gate (5).
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the bolts (2) to the lift gate window latch (1).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the lift gate window latch bolts (2) to 7.0 N·m (62 lb in).

  6. Install the rear lift gate window connector (4) to the lift gate (5).
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.   8. Install the bolts (3) to the lift gate window connector (4).

  10. Close the lift gate window.

  12. Open the lift gate.
  13. Install the lift gate window latch electrical connector retainer (3) to the lift gate (4).
  14. Connect the lift gate window latch electrical connector (2) to the lift gate harness (1).
  15. Install the lift gate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  16. Close the lift gate.
