Removal Procedure

  1. Install the engine support fixture to support the engine. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .

  2. Object Number: 865489  Size: SH
  3. Remove the rear mount through bolt.
  4. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  5. Object Number: 865493  Size: SH
  6. Remove the 3 nuts and one bolt securing the rear mount to the transmission support.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Remove the rear transaxle mount from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear transaxle mount into the rear transaxle mounting bracket.
  2. Secure the rear transaxle mount with the through bolt. Do NOT fully tighten the through bolt.
  3. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the 3 nuts and one bolt to secure the rear transaxle mount to the transmission support.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts and bolt to 52 N·m (38 lb ft).

  7. Lower the vehicle.

  8. Object Number: 865489  Size: SH
  9. Tighten the through bolt.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the through bolt to 87 N·m (64 lb ft).

  11. Remove the engine support fixture from the engine.
