Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2009 🢒 Vibe - FWD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls and Fuel - 2.4L (LAX) 🢒 Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement

    2. Object Number: 2016487 Size: SH
  2. Remove the bolt (1) and the vacuum hose clamp.

    3. Object Number: 2016489 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector (1).
  4. Remove the bolt and the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (2).

    5. Object Number: 2016490 Size: SH
  5. Remove the O-ring (1) from the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2016490 Size: SH
  1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring (1) and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2016489 Size: SH
  2. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly (2) with the bolt and tighten to 9.0 N·m (80 lb in).
  3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector (1).

    4. Object Number: 2016487 Size: SH
  4. Install the vacuum hose clamp with the bolt (1).
  5. Inspect for oil leak.
  6. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
