The pump motor is contained within the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV). The pump motor ground is supplied through terminal 15 of the electronic brake control module (EBCM).
DTC C0017 can only be set with the key in the ON position, the pump motor is OFF, and the EBCM detected a short to ground on the pump motor circuit.
• | The solenoid relay opens, removing power from the pump motor and solenoids. |
• | DTC C0017 is stored. |
• | ABS disabled, ABS warning lamp is turned ON. |
• | If the conditions that set the DTC C0017 are no longer present, the DTC may be cleared by using the proper scan tool. |
• | The DTC that has not occurred in 100 drive cycles will be cleared from the history data. |
Typical causes of DTC C0017.
• | Faulty BPMV |
• | Faulty EBCM |
