Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1289488 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the engine control module (ECM) wiring harness connector.
  3. Remove the nuts from the ECM mounting bracket.

    4. Object Number: 1289497 Size: SH
  4. Remove the ECM mounting bracket with the bolt and the nut.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1289497 Size: SH
  1. Install the ECM mounting bracket with the bolt and the nut.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the ECM mounting bracket bolt and the nut to 12 N·m (9 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1289488 Size: SH
  2. Install the ECM with the nuts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the ECM nut to 12 N·m (9 lb ft).
