Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 2049561 Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Locate the vessel for containing engine oil beneath drain plug of the vehicle.
  3. Remove the oil drain (2) carefully.
  4. Drain the engine oil.

    5. Object Number: 2049562 Size: SH
  5. Remove the oil filter cap (1).
  6. Remove the oil filter.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2049562 Size: SH

    Note: Do not re-use the engine oil filter.

  1. Install the new oil filter.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the oil filter cap (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter cap to 25 N·m (18.4 lb ft).


    Object Number: 2049561 Size: SH

    Note: Refer to engine oil specifications in the owners manual and refill with the recommended engine oil and quantity.

  3. Install the drain plug (2).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the drain plug to 9 N·m (79.7 lb in).

  4. Open the oil filling cap.
  5. Refill the new engine oil.
