Daytime Running Lamps

On a vehicle equipped with the standard headlamp system, the BCM reduces the 100 percent pulse width modulated (PWM) headlamp driver module (HDM) control signal to a 85 percent duty cycle when there is sufficient light to the ambient light sensor and you select ON. The daytime running lights will remain illuminated until commanded OFF.

On a vehicle equipped with the high intensity discharge (HID) headlamp system, the body control module signals the turn signal/hazard flasher module to illuminate the RF and LF turn signal lamps at a steady rate when there is sufficient light to the ambient light sensor and you select ON. The lamps will remain illuminated until commanded OFF.
