Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner element. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 732051 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the mass air flow (MAF)/Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.
  4. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (2) on the air cleaner side of the air cleaner outlet resonator (3).
  5. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
  6. If replacing the air cleaner outlet duct, remove the MAF/IAT sensor. Refer to Mass Airflow Sensor/Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .

Installation Procedure

  1. If the MAF/IAT sensor was previously removed, install the MAF/IAT sensor into the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Mass Airflow Sensor/Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 732051 Size: SH
  3. Install the air cleaner outlet duct onto the air cleaner outlet resonator (3).
  4. Install the air cleaner element. Refer to Air Cleaner Element Replacement .
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Properly position the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (2) on the air cleaner side of the air cleaner outlet resonator (3).
  7. Tighten
Tighten the clamp (2) to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  8. Connect the electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.
