Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1551929 Size: SH
  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Remove the bolts from the upper inside edge of the fascia.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle to a suitable height. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

    4. Object Number: 743497 Size: SH
  4. Remove the screws from the rear fascia lower extension.
  5. Remove the lower extension from the fascia.

    6. Pull forward to release the extension retainers from the fascia locators.

  6. Remove the lower fascia push-pins.

    7. Object Number: 743499 Size: SH
  7. Remove the screws that retain the fascia to the wheelhouse panel to the flanges. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  8. Remove the bolts from the upper inside edge of the rear fascia to the quarter panel.
  9. Remove the fascia from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1551929 Size: SH
  1. Position the fascia to the vehicle.
  2. Install the bolts to the upper inside edge of the fascia.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the bolts to the upper inside edge of the fascia to the quarter panel.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the screws that retain the fascia to the wheelhouse panel to the flanges.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).


    Object Number: 743497 Size: SH
  5. Install the lower extension to the fascia.

    6. Push inward on the lower extension to lock the retainers into the fascia.

  6. Install the screws to the rear fascia lower extension.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Close the liftgate.
