Navigation Radio Error Message Or H3/Saab Logo Screen Displays When Driving - keywords display DVD intermittent map

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Radios are being replaced for a "CD Error" concern and/or the H3/Saab logo screen being displayed while driving. The CD Error message can be displayed if the DVD map disc or CD has any type of scratches or blemishes on the disc.

1. Duplicate the customers concern first. If the concern can not be duplicated Do Not replace the radio.
2. Make sure that the DVD map disc or CD is not dirty or scratched. If the DVD map disc or CD is dirty, please clean the DVD map disc or CD and reinstall the disc. Follow the instructions in the owners manual for "Care of your CDs". This will explain how to handle and clean a CD
3. If the DVD or CD is scratched, blemished or cracked, the DVD/CD will need to be replaced.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
