The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customers may comment that the "Full Size" spare tire for the Saab 97x is not the same diameter or numerical tire size as the others tires on the vehicle. The Saab 97x comes equipped with tire size P255/55 R18 and a spare tire size of 245/65 R17 or 255/60 R17. These two spare tire sizes are comparable in overall rolling diameter as the P255/55 R18 equipped on the vehicle and have been approved by engineering.

These are the approved spare tire size for the Saab 97x and no changes are recommended. Please refer to the tire label on the driver door or door jamb that will advise of the correct tire size and pressures for the customers vehicle.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
