The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment of a wind noise from the front of the A-pillar, either of the outside rear view mirror(s), or the front of the vehicle. Typically the noise occurs at speeds above 55mph. The source of this noise may be from the headlamp area called out as number (1) in the image above.
Closer inspection of this area may reveal an improperly positioned front fascia in relation to the head light capsule. Refer to (2) in the image above.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Reposition the front fascia to cover the headlight lower mounting tabs. Correct appearance shown called out as number 1 in the image above. Test drive the vehicle to be sure the vehicle was repaired.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
