Engine Oil (Except 6.0L V8 Engine)

Engine oil which meets Standard GM6094M and displays the American Petroleum Institute Certified for Gasoline Engines starburst symbol. To determine the proper viscosity for your vehicle's engine, see Engine Oil .

Engine Oil (6.0L V8 Engine Only)

The engine requires a special engine oil meeting Standard GM4718M. Oils meeting this standard can be identified as synthetic, and should also be identified with the American Petroleum Institute (API) Certified for Gasoline Engines starburst symbol. However, not all synthetic API oils with the starburst symbol will meet this standard. Look for and use only an oil that meets Standard GM4718M. For the proper viscosity, see Engine Oil .

Engine Coolant

50/50 mixture of clean, drinkable water and use only DEX-COOL® Coolant. See Engine Coolant .

Hydraulic Brake System

Delco® Supreme 11 Brake Fluid or equivalent DOT-3 brake fluid.

Windshield Washer

Windshield Washer Solvent.

Parking Brake Cable Guides

Chassis Lubricant meeting requirements of NLGI #2, Category LB or GC-LB.

Power Steering System

Power Steering Fluid (Part No. U.S. 89021184, in Canada 89021186).

Automatic Transmission

DEXRON®-VI Automatic Transmission Fluid.

Key Lock Cylinders

Multi-Purpose Lubricant, Superlube (Part No. U.S. 12346241, in Canada 10953474).

Chassis Lubrication

Chassis Lubricant meeting requirements of NLGI #2, Category LB or GC-LB.

Front Axle

SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Axle Lubricant (Part No. U.S. 89021677, in Canada 89021678) meeting specifications.

Rear Axle

SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Axle Lubricant (Part No. U.S. 89021677, in Canada 89021678) meeting specifications. With a complete drain and refill add 4 ounces (118 ml) of Limited-Slip Axle Lubricant Additive (Part No. U.S. 1052358, in Canada 992694) where required. See Rear Axle .
