Removal Procedure
- Remove the intake manifold. Refer to
Intake Manifold Replacement.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure sensor.
Note: Do not allow dirt or debris to enter the passages of the manifold. Plug as required.
- Remove the oil pressure sensor (1) and washer (2).
- Remove the oil filter (3).
- Inspect the O-ring (4) for cuts or damage. If the filter is plugged or the O-ring is cut or damaged, replace the filter and O-ring as an assembly.
Installation Procedure
Note: Do not allow dirt or debris to enter the passages of the manifold. Plug as required.
- Install a NEW oil filter (3) and O-ring (4) assembly.
- Apply sealant to the threads of the sensor. Refer to
Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers for the correct part number.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the oil pressure sensor (1) and washer (2). Tighten the oil pressure sensor to
35 N·m (26 lb ft).
- Connect the electrical connector to the oil pressure sensor.
- Install the intake manifold. Refer to
Intake Manifold Replacement.
