Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the oil pressure sensor.

  3. Object Number: 1509594  Size: SH

    Note: Do not allow dirt or debris to enter the passages of the manifold. Plug as required.

  4. Remove the oil pressure sensor (1) and washer (2).
  5. Remove the oil filter (3).
  6. Inspect the O-ring (4) for cuts or damage. If the filter is plugged or the O-ring is cut or damaged, replace the filter and O-ring as an assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1509594  Size: SH

    Note: Do not allow dirt or debris to enter the passages of the manifold. Plug as required.

  1. Install a NEW oil filter (3) and O-ring (4) assembly.
  2. Apply sealant to the threads of the sensor. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers for the correct part number.
  3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the oil pressure sensor (1) and washer (2). Tighten the oil pressure sensor to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).
  5. Connect the electrical connector to the oil pressure sensor.
  6. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement.
