Removal Procedure
- Remove the floor console. Refer to Console Replacement.
- Disable the park brake automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Disconnect the park brake cables from the equalizer.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the park brake warning lamp switch.
- Remove the remaining park brake lever retaining nut.
- Remove the park brake lever assembly from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the park brake lever assembly to the vehicle.
- Install the right front park brake lever retaining nut and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Connect the electrical connector to the park brake warning lamp switch.
- Raise the vehicle.
- Connect the park brake cables to the equalizer.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the floor console. Refer to Console Replacement.
- Enable the park brake automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling.
