Removal Procedure

    Caution: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.

  1. Apply protective tape to the front edge of the front door and the rear edge of the front bumper fascia.
  2. Remove the assist step, if applicable. Refer to Assist Step Replacement.
  3. Remove the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement.
  4. Remove the rocker panel molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement.

  5. Object Number: 742125  Size: SH
  6. Remove the side hood bumper from the vehicle.

  7. Object Number: 750116  Size: SH
  8. Remove the bolts that retain the fender to the vehicle.
  9. Remove the fender from the vehicle.

  10. Object Number: 750119  Size: SH
  11. If replacing the fender to body seal, release the clips (1) that retain the seal to the fender bracket (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 750119  Size: SH
  1. If replacing the body to fender seal, position the seal to the vehicle.
  2. Ensure that the integral clips (1) on the seal are seated into the fender bracket (2).

  3. Object Number: 750116  Size: SH
  4. Position the fender to the vehicle.
  5. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  6. Install the bolts that retain the fender to the vehicle and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Object Number: 742125  Size: SH
  8. Install the hood bumper to the vehicle.
  9. Install the rocker panel molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement.
  10. Install the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement.
  11. Install the assist step, if applicable. Refer to Assist Step Replacement.
  12. Remove the protective tape.
