Makes 🢒 Saturn 🢒 2007 🢒 AURA 🢒 Diagnostic Navigation 🢒 Vehicle Diagnostic Information 🢒 Ignition and Start Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
  2. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1791958 Size: SH
  3. Remove the ignition and start switch bolts (1).
  4. Separate the ignition and start switch (2) from the instrument panel.
  5. Disconnect any electrical connectors.
  6. Disconnect the park lock cable from the ignition and start switch. Refer to Park Lock Cable Replacement .
  7. Remove the theft deterrent control module. Refer to Theft Deterrent Module Replacement .

    8. Object Number: 1207709 Size: SH
  8. Remove the ignition and start switch bracket bolts.
  9. Remove the ignition and start switch bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1207709 Size: SH
  1. Install the ignition and start switch bracket.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the ignition and start switch bracket bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  3. Install the theft deterrent control module. Refer to Theft Deterrent Module Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1791958 Size: SH
  4. Connect the ignition and start switch (2) to the I/P.
  5. Install the ignition and start switch bolts (1).

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  6. Connect the park lock cable to the ignition and start switch. Refer to Park Lock Cable Replacement .
  7. Connect any electrical connectors.
  8. Install the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
  9. Install the ignition switch lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement .
