DTC Descriptor

DTC B1001: Option Configuration Error

Circuit/System Description

The controller shall set the current status of this DTC when the following is detected:

The applicable VIN digits (3 and 4) sent to the radio with GMLAN messages do not match the calibration platform ID.

Conditions for Running the DTC

When the radio transitions from the OFF to the ON mode. This is not limited to the radio power switch

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The applicable VIN digits (3 and 4) sent to the radio with GMLAN messages do not match the calibration platform ID.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The radio will display as many characters of "CALIBRATE" as will fit on the display and the radio will not operate.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

Download the correct calibrations into the radio for the platform in which the radio is installed.

Circuit/System Verification

Install the scan tool. Check DTCs. Is DTC B1001 current?

Circuit/System Testing

Install the scan tool. Check DTCs. Is DTC B1001 current?

Run Radio setup to calibrate the radio.
If the code returns as current, replace the radio.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
