Condition
Some customers may comment on the following conditions:
• | Low speed driveability (excessive engine braking sensation from 35 to 51 km/h (22 to 32 mph). |
• | 5-4 and 4-3 coastdown bump. |
• | Poor power on 5-4 shift feel; downshift flare going up a grade/intermittent downshift flare. |
• | Poor power on 6-5 shift feel; bump/flaring 6-5 shift |
• | 3-4 shift feel bump; lift foot 3-4 shift bump. |
• | Reverse garage shift bump. |
Cause
The cause of this condition may be due to a calibration issue with the TCM.
Correction
Reprogram the TCM with the latest calibrations if the above concern is encountered. An updated TCM calibration is now available to address this concern. This calibration, or any that follow, is designed to address this concern. Refer to Service Programming
System (SPS) using the appropriate Service Information (SI) procedures. The new TCM calibrations will be available to dealerships in TIS 2 Web version 8.5 for 2006 (websiter version of TIS) beginning 8/21/06, on on TIS DVD version 9.0/2006 or later,
to be mailed to dealerships beginning September 14, 2006. If you cannot access the calibration, call the Techline Customer Support Center at 1-800-828-6860 (English) or 1-800-503-3222 (French) and it will be provided. As always, make sure your Tech 2®
is updated with the latest software version.
