Fog Lamp Bezel Surface Distorted (Install New Designed Bezel)

Some customers may comment that, after washing their vehicle, the fog lamp bezel surface is distorted.

This condition may be caused by reflection of the sun in the fog lamp lens.

Replace the fog lamp bezel. At the time of the repair, replace both sides.

1. Using a flat bladed tool, release the fog lamp bezel from the fascia. Remove the bezel



2. Using a punch, make a mark in the fascia where the two darker liners meet, or come to a point, as shown in the illustration above.




Notice: Use duct tape in order to protect the fascia surface from damage.

3. Using a 1/8 inch drill bit, drill a pilot hole in the fascia.



4. Using a hole saw, drill a 25 mm (1 in) hole in the fascia. This will provide the necessary clearance for the new design bezel.
5. Install the new designed fog lamp bezel, making sure all the clips are fully seated.
