Condition

Some customers may comment on a constant whine or a grind noise from the engine compartment. This condition may be more noticeable during turning maneuvers.

Cause

This condition may be caused by the power steering hose amplifying the normal internal noise of the power steering pump.

Correction

Install a new design power steering gear inlet pipe/hose. Refer to Power Steering Gear Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement in SI.
