The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The vehicle may have a concern of a tick noise that could sound as if it was coming from the right side of the dash. It may be heard from the right side and only on the inside of the vehicle. Noise may or may not be gone in reverse. The noise may or may not heard above an idle. It may resemble a purge solenoid click or a lifter tick.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The noise could be coming from the right side engine strut mount (also called "snubber"). Lubricate the engine strut and if the noise is less then replace the engine strut mount.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
