The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Unintended reversal of the panoramic sunroof glass panels (see below) may occur due to a high electrical load caused by operating multiple electrical systems simultaneously. This condition could be exist if of one of the following conditions are created.

  1. Operating both the front windows while closing the panoramic roof glass panels may cause the roof glass panels to reverse - this is a normal condition and no repairs should be attempted.
  2. Turning on the Rear Window Defogger while closing the panoramic roof glass panels may cause the roof glass panels to reverse - this is a normal condition and no repairs should be attempted.
  3. Contamination and debris in the panoramic glass panel tracks may cause the glass panels to reverse. Cleaning of the tracks is a maintenance issue. The tracks should be cleaned of debris regularly and lubed periodically.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Normal Operation for the Panoramic sunroof.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
