The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Intermittent SES light, DTC P0641 (5 volt ref ckt 1 short to ground) with potentially any of the below DTCs set.
"possible DTCS REFERENCE VOLTAGE P0641, P2101, P0542, P0532, P0522, P0452, P0341, P0335, P0107, B0268, C0242"
This condition could be caused by a PCM circuit shorted to ground. The PCM Ckt 2700 shorts to ground due to damage from the black trans cover stud. Looking into front of vehicle underhood, stud is on right side of black trans cover and is the second bolt down off the top right (driver side) of the cover. It is the only bolt with a stud coming outward.
Repair ckt/harness, rerouted/secured pcm harness a way from this stud.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
