The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment that there is a white powder chalk looking residue on the door lock knob after multiple uses. This residue is likely coming from the lock knob rubbing against the lock knob bezel on the inner door panel assembly.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Wipe off the residue. The residue may appear after continued use of the door lock knob. If residue is noticed later, simply wipe off the surface again.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
