The Driver Information Center Wont scroll With ( SWC ) and Headlights On - keywords control steering wheel

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A dealer may call with a customer concern of NOT being able to scroll through the DIC, from the steering wheel controls when the headlights are on. The cause of this condition is a voltage related concern, and new software has been developed for the Instrument Cluster.

Its highly recommended that before you replace the cluster, you need to check for a blown " IGN Sensor " fuse in the Body Control Module (BCM). If the fuse if ok then you will need to replace the Instrument Cluster Assembly to resolve this concern.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
