Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement LY7

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove as much power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
  2. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.

  3. Object Number: 1811898  Size: SH
  4. Compress the power steering reservoir inlet hose clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) from the remote power steering fluid reservoir (3).
  5. Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

  6. Object Number: 1811909  Size: SH
  7. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose bracket nut.

  8. Object Number: 1811905  Size: SH
  9. Compress the power steering gear outlet hose clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose (2) from the power steering reservoir inlet hose (3).
  10. Remove the power steering reservoir inlet hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the power steering reservoir inlet hose to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 1811905  Size: SH
  3. Compress the power steering gear outlet hose clamp (1) and connect the power steering gear outlet hose (2) to the power steering reservoir inlet hose (3).
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1811909  Size: SH
  5. Install the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose bracket nut.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  7. Install the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

  8. Object Number: 1811898  Size: SH
  9. Compress the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose clamp (1) and connect the power steering fluid reservoir inlet hose (2) to the remote power steering fluid reservoir (3).
  10. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  11. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement LZ4

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
  3. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.

  4. Object Number: 1775568  Size: SH
  5. Compress the power steering reservoir inlet hose clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose from the power steering fluid reservoir.

  6. Object Number: 1775582  Size: SH
  7. Remove the power steering hose bracket and nut (1,2).

  8. Object Number: 1775613  Size: SH
  9. Compress the power steering gear outlet hose clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) from the power steering gear outlet hose (3).
  10. Remove the power steering reservoir inlet hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering reservoir inlet hose to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 1775613  Size: SH
  3. Compress the power steering gear outlet hose clamp (1) and connect the power steering gear outlet hose (3) to the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2).

  4. Object Number: 1775582  Size: SH
  5. Install the power steering hose bracket and nut (1,2).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 5 N·m (45 lb in).

  7. Compress the power steering reservoir inlet hose clamp (1) and connect the power steering reservoir inlet hose to the power steering fluid reservoir.
  8. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  9. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  10. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
