The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
On rare occasions, a SES light may be experienced due to DTCs P1808 and P2797. When this occurs, the ECM will also inhibit Auto-Stop and Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump operation. This concern may be the result of a low transmission fluid level.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If this occurs, check the transmission fluid level, fill as necessary, and re-evaluate the concern. If the fluid is low, also check for transmission fluid leaks and repair as necessary.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
