Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1838957 Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
  2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the mass airflow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.

    3. Object Number: 1838002 Size: SH
  3. Remove the air cleaner housing rear bolt.
  4. Reposition the air conditioning (A/C) condenser and evaporator tube clamp as required.

    5. Object Number: 1838005 Size: SH
  5. Remove the air cleaner assembly from the upper tie bar.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1838005 Size: SH
  1. Install the air cleaner assembly to the upper tie bar.

    2. Object Number: 1838002 Size: SH
  2. Position the A/C condenser and evaporator tube clamp as required.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the air cleaner housing rear bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    4. Object Number: 1838957 Size: SH
  4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.
  5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
