Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1838990 Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
  2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the electronic throttle control (ETC).

    3. Object Number: 1839345 Size: SH
  3. Remove the throttle body bolts.
  4. Remove the throttle body and gasket. Discard the gasket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1839345 Size: SH
  1. Position a NEW throttle body gasket to the upper intake manifold.
  2. Position the throttle body to the upper intake manifold.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the throttle body bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    4. Object Number: 1838990 Size: SH
  4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) to the ETC.
  5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
  6. Perform the Throttle Learn Procedure. Refer to Throttle Learn.
