Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
2. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement.
3. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.
4. Remove the multifunction, turn signal switch. Refer to Turn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement.
5. Remove the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement.

Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Screw (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Procedure

Pull rearward on the trim plate bezel releasing it from the instrument panel.
