The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
As part of our ongoing quality improvement efforts, the EBCM and BPMV will be placed on restriction through the PQC to assist Engineering with product feedback. Your cooperation with this program is greatly appreciated.
Effective Wednesday, August 20, 2008 the following part numbers will be restricted:
P/N 15952669
| Electronic Brake Control Module Assembly -FX3

| Electronic Brake Control Module Assembly +FX3

P/N 25818716
| Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Assembly

If proper diagnosis has led to the replacement of the EBCM, please complete the following questionnaire before contacting the PQC at 1-866-654-7654.
Recommendation/Instructions:
- Is the vehicle you are working on a Hybrid?
• | If yes, you are trying to order the wrong part, contact Partech to obtain the correct part number. |
• | If no, proceed to question 2. |
- Was the vehicle brought in for a performance related problem?
If yes, please describe.
- Was the vehicle brought in for a non-brake related issue and you found an ABS related DTC code?
- Customer Complaint (as it reads on the RO):
- Is the concern constant or intermittent?
- Has the customer's concern been duplicated?
- List all Current DTCs:
- List all History DTCs:
If any U codes are set, list all ECU modules that set the DTC (ECM, BCM, etc.)
- Are the codes repeatable?

• | After driving less than one mile? |
• | Upon driving over bumps? |
• | After driving many miles? |
- Is there evidence of water intrusion in the EBCM connector?
- List all PIs and/or Service Bulletins performed:
- List parts already replaced, if any:
- List SI Document ID# used:
- Document each step of the trouble tree chart, include voltage measurements:
- Were there any issues with the trouble tree chart and where it leads you?
- Record Calibration/Software ID# using the Tech2:

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
